Pastor Vernell Murphy a native of Baltimore Maryland, was ordained in June of 2011 and started the Issues of Life Church Ministries of Colorado Springs Colorado.  

Pastor Vernell served in the United States Army for 23 years.  She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Organization Management with an emphasis in Christian Leadership. She answered the call to Pastor while pursuing her Master degree in Counseling. She has a love for people and enjoys encouraging others to live productive Godly lives. God has given her the unique ability to minister to all ages, backgrounds and ethnicities, as well as to encourage men to see themselves through God eyes, while taking their positions in their homes, families and communities.

Pastor Vernell has been (and still is) happily married to Audie D. Murphy for more than 28 years. Elder Audie and Pastor Vernell work together as a dynamic ministerial team and believe that God has called them for such a time as this. Together they have four children and five grandchildren.
